Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit. 😂 I am still fat, and I’m okay with that. But I am on a journey to lose weight to get off all meds and be free of Big Pharma. I need to say that because I am very happy with my fluff and I love my body and all of its girth, but I know weight and body image are both issues that most women struggle with. I don’t want to discount anyone’s plight, it just isn’t mine. I absolutely love the size and shape of my body. However, I'd be lying to myself if I didn't admit there are health challenges that come with increased weight. However, even with the weight I intend to lose, I'll still be a proud card-carrying member of the BBW club. *insert milkshake bringing all girls to the yard* 😂 Some of you may have watched my recent vlog and learned that I started at 292 pounds in November, my last weigh-in had me at 277, and my goal is 250 pounds. That's the weight I need to get down to in order to prove to the doctors that I can maintain my health through diet and exercise. I do not tend to gain weight, so this plateau will be great for me. At this point you’re probably thinking to yourself, “what the hell does this have to do with weed?” Simple. You can’t lose weight if you don’t have the energy to burn the calories and you can’t have energy if you don't eat. I never have an appetite...unless I smoke. That is how weed helps with my weight loss. When people think of munchies they think of shit like candy, donuts, and chips. But the munchies is having an appetite in general. When I increased my cannabis consumption my doctor encouraged me and told me to make sure I have healthy snacks on deck for when the munchies hit. And 90% of the time I do. Every now and again I’ll crave candy from my childhood or donuts from my favorite donut shop, but that’s with or without weed. Overall, weed gives me an appetite when I normally don’t have a desire. Believe it or not, it also aids in water consumption. Regularly, I drink a gallon of water a day, simply because I love water. But while I’m on this weight loss journey I’ve upped my water intake to 148 oz a day instead of my normal 128 oz. Again, at this point you’re asking what the hell that has to do with weed. Weed makes you thirsty as hell!!! And I smoke a lot of weed! 😂 Another thing I’ve discovered is how working out while I’m high increases my high and also cuts down on some of the muscle pain. I love working out, unfortunately it doesn’t always love me and I have to be realistic about my abilities. I roll a joint/blunt and smoke it before my workout and keep my vape pen with cannabis oil in it on deck to hit while I’m working out if I feel myself cramping up. Believe it or not, once all your endorphins get worked up, your high has increased by the end of your workout and it’s a great way to
end a strenuous workout. Giving up isn’t an option so I’ve learned to utilize all my resources to my advantage. So if you’re on a path to do better with your health and fitness, weed can help. Trust me.
